Sometimes words won’t do.

Well, well…

I wish I
could put my feelings in a box so that you could look at them and see what I
feel like. It’s unexplainable. Every day is the same, yet different. It amazes
me. I feel things these days that I have never felt before. It’s like things
suck really bad, but they don’t really. It’s like life is no fun and it’s all monotonous,
yet different all at the same time. It’s like I’m lonely, but not.

The
experiences I get, though, I think everyone should witness what I see on a daily basis to understand what
the foundation of America
really is. The real world is not like Center Grove. It’s people squeaking by to
pay rent because they spent all their paycheck getting wasted on the weekend. It’s
looking forward to hanging out with the guys and grilling and going to the race
on the weekend. It’s working your bum off for a few dollars, doing it everyday,
and being darn proud that you have a job. It’s being nice to people you work
with because tomorrow you still have to work with them no matter if you like
them or not. It’s having a vocabulary of primarily “four letter words”. (Usually
just one, it begins with ‘F’ and it is used for everything.) It’s dealing with
the poor decisions you made when you were younger and still having to pay for
them well into your thirties and beyond. This includes debt, babies, and
relationships.

There is a
world out there which needs to be seen by everyone in Center Grove. It will
wake people up. I think about the people at the factory I’ve been working at
and I see the potential they have for better jobs. But what if they did get
better jobs? Who would do the job they are doing? We need people willing to do
the same darn thing every single day of their seemingly simple lives.

Money for
CGers is something to be thrown around and given to them by their parents. (I
could include myself in that category. Guilty as charged.)

Money for
the blue-collar worker is everything. It’s extremely expensive being poor. It
really is. They don’t help themselves out though. I mean, cigarettes and beer
adds up quite quickly. I’m one of two workers who don’t smoke. I pretty much
do, though. I mean, the second hand smoke is ridiculous. I wonder if it is
really as bad as ‘they’ say it is. If so, then my life has been cut by about
ten years.

I was
talking with Nathan and Eric a while back and we were talking about how the
public schools really need to teach students how to wisely spend money. I mean
we spend so much time talking about the stock exchange, yet we never were told
the drastically depressing statistics of debt, credit cards, and bills. If they
did that though I wonder how it would affect our economy. Who would work at the
box factory that I’ve been working at in their right mind? (I’m not working
their by choice, by the way.)

I realize
it gives out money for mindlessly putting boxes together, but it really isn’t
worth it. I rather work at Quiznos for a buck cheaper. I mean, people, soda, no
manual labor. A trained monkey really couldn’t do it. I mean, shouldn’t that be
a goal for a job—that a trained monkey couldn’t do what you are doing? I would
think so.

I’ve got to
admit though, it does pay, and sometimes that’s the only factor that matters.

A job’s a
job.

However, tomorrow
I am working at Quiznos 5-close if you want to visit me. I have no idea who I
am working with, hopefully someone halfway competent. If you want to come visit
me, that is very welcome. I’ll probably be depressed by that time. I could use
some cheering up.

And
Yurisich, you’re right about the Vanilla Coke thing. A 100% victory would be
Vanilla Coke in the fountain at Quiznos. But I have high doubts that’s going to
happen considering Quiznos is still Pepsi products. But I’ll take what I got.
Any Vanilla Coke is infinitely better that no Vanilla Coke, or my bad,
Coca-Cola Vanilla.

I suppose
that’s all for now. No video for now. I’ll be thinking up one soon though.

I promise.

(By the
way, that’s my goal for this summer: videos. Two years ago, a CD. Last year,
lots of pictures of clouds. This summer, YouTube-ish videos.)

Ideas are
welcome. No promises. But if you have an idea that you want to see, I’ll try it
out.
